Muriel Cooper was interested in nonlinear discovery of information. She also had a career that started in print at the MIT Press and was an early adapter of computer technologies, later dedicating her career to the MIT Media Lab.

This installation design consists of a book and digital interface where viewers can explore Cooper’s ideas and a selection of her work in the duality of formats that reflect her career. The digital interface lends itself to a more nonlinear approach, though as Cooper had discussed, the book could be also viewed nonlinearly if desired.
